Volleyball presses on toward playoff berth.

The Lady Cat's (13-8 Overall) went 2-2 in the Stockton Classic on Saturday, playing the last non-conference games of their season. But those games are irrelevent to Waterford players and fans. The focus is on the conference games that remain.

This 2015 Ladycat Volleyball Team is on a quest to become the first team in Waterford history to make the playoffs.

They face a tough week going away to Le Grand on tuesday and hosting Mariposa on thursday. The quickest way to the playoffs is to win both match ups. The Lady Cats defeated Le Grand in three sets earlier in the season. Le Grand (6-3) currently sits in 4th place behind the Waterford (6-3). Mariposa (8-1) sits in 2nd place with a (8-1) record.

A win against Le Grand and Mariposa would clinch a Lady Cat playoff birth.

A win against Le Grand and a Mariposa win agianst Le Grand in the following week would also clinch the Lady Cats.

One would think the most important game is the win against Mariposa, but if we are talking playoffs, the Lady cats have an opportunity to put Le Grand on the ropes with a win on tuesday.

Three teams from the SAL will go to the SJS Playoffs. Ripon Christian has all but locked up its perinnial return and another SAL Championship. Mariposa, Waterford and Le Grand will battle it out over the next two and half weeks to determine who the other two teams will be.
